The dramatic characters of the avian world, the limited edition iittala Kingfisher captivates attention with bright colors and a unique body shape. Created by world-renown glassblower Oiva Toikka, the Kingfisher has an extra large beak that has been beautifully crafted from silver-blue glass to draw attention to its most defining feature.Brightly plumed, the stomach of the bird is a bright orange while the head and back are an opaque dark blue. The 2010 collection of birds by Oiva Toikka are individually mouth-blown by the master glassblowers at iittala’s glassworks shop. Each handcrafted iittala Toikka Kingfisher carries the signature “O. Toikka Iittala” on its base to ensure its authenticity.
