I am from Finland and love Iittala glassware. I first bought this for my son when he got engaged, eight years ago. A few years later I came across some pretty amazing wood fruit which I gave to my son and daughter-in-law . The bowl and the wood fruit, (often with real fruit on top) sit on the kitchen island and it really makes a statement. This bowl can be used for so many occasions, fruit salad or green salad for a party, pastries, anything will look beautiful in this bowl, which is why I just bought another one for my daughter for her birthday. I can't wait to see her reaction.

I love everything about this bowl! I am using it as a fruit bowl but will use it as a salad bowl and serving bowl when I have guests. This piece is very good quality and pairs beautiful with my Italia Taaki dinnerware. Beautiful, worthwhile investment.

My Mom was from Finland and instilled in my brother and I a love for all things Finnish. My brother's daughter is getting married and I want her to have Ittala glassware. I received the Thule bowl promptly. It is beautiful. It will be suitable for serving salads, main courses, and desserts. I love the design in the glass and the weight of the bowl-a flimsy piece this is not!

The bowl is lovely, I knew it would be I own one, and bought this as a gift.
Cons
The legs/feet of the bowl punctured the box right through the bottom (in shipping?). Since it was a gift I wasn't happy about presenting it this way, but had no choice! Although bowl was well packaged to prevent damage since it was a box within a box surrounded by packing popcorn, some of the packing popcorn should've been added to the inside box to hold the bowl afloat. I'm surprised the company is not aware this happens in transit.

This looks amazing on my kitchen counter.

Just wish the places where the feet attach were less noticeable as they are on the smaller bowl.
I am questioning the need to hand wash this bowl. I owned iittala glasses that I bought over 40 years ago and they never broke or were damaged in the dishwasher. Please verify this information. Also, I assume the information is the same for the glasses. Are these products used or are they new? Thanks. Eileen Howell

This centerpiece bowl is a hand wash only item - in large part due to its size.
The Ultima Thule glassware is dishwasher safe, with care. Treat it like you would wine glasses.
