Get in line with modern style as Marimekko introduces its newest bedding for 2013. The Marimekko Ajo Black/White Percale Sheet Set features a thin black and white striped that immediately captures your attention. Designed by Kristina Isola in 1985, she created a trio of striped patterns with Ajo being the smallest, Ujo the medium stripe and Nimikko the largest. Finnish for "race" or "driving", the Ajo pattern keeps your bedroom on track with mod-worthy design that never goes out of style. Try mixing Ajo Black/White with the Marimekko Unikko Red Duvet for a perfectly patterned bed.

About Percale:
A high-quality weave, percale has a noticeably tighter weave that allows for a higher thread count which makes the sheets softer to the touch. Medium in weight, the fabric is matte with no additional sheen or shine but the texture is very smooth and able to resist warping and washes exceptionally well.
Care: Wash in cold water on the gentle cycle. Tumble dry low. Iron on warm as needed.

I ordered these sheets because I knew they would look wonderful with my Marimekko duvet cover. And they do. The only type of sheets that I will buy are percale, I love a smooth feel, and these are described as percale. But they feel very rough to me, much coarser than the duvet cover, and make moving around difficult. They are also huge and every morning I have to pull and re-tuck the bottom sheet. I have a thick mattress, but no topper on it, so maybe they would fit better with a topper.
