Made in the Iisakki Järvenpää factory in Kauhava, Finland, the Model 3447 knife is a genuine piece of Finnish craftsmanship with a little Western flair. The polish carbon steel blade is 4" (10 cm) long, made of polished carbon steel. The handle is crafted from stacked leather layers which have been sanded and varnished. The ferrules on either side of the handle are polished aluminum. The bolster serves also as a finger guard preventing the index finger from slipping to the blade. A beautiful light brown, sewn leather, the sheath has reinforcements made of polished stainless steel. The design on the sheath is pressed, and says "Made in Finland" as a reminder of its special origin. This design was first released in 1928, and still serves as a timeless tool years later.
