Moomin's Day 2025 is celebrated on August 9th, the birthday of Moomin creator Tove Jansson. The year 2025 also marks another special Moomin milestone, being the 80th anniversary of the first ever Moomin story, The Moomins and the Great Flood. The limited-edition Moomin's Day 2025 Mug captures a scene from the same story, where Moominmamma has created a cozy nest in the forest for Moomintroll, the little creature later known as Sniff, and a girl named Tulippa. The crew is looking for a missing Moominpappa and helping others survive the great flood in Moominvalley. The family will later reunite and find their home, the Moominhouse, which becomes the foundation of later Moomin stories.
The Moomins are depicted how they were in Tove Jansson's original illustrations from 1945, with narrow snouts and less round features. The Arabia Moomin's Day 2025 Mug is crafted from durable porcelain and features the "Moomin 80" emblem stamped on the bottom.

This special Moomin mug is for my son. He received his first Moomin baby when he was an infant, I brought some Moomins home to St. Louis, MO, from Helsinki in 1967 before he was born because I loved the Moomins so much. I saved them just hoping I would someday have a child who loved Moomins as much as I did.
