This mouth-blown glass bird is a wonderful addition to my mantel collection of Tolkka Birds. Its unique design makes it stand out by also enhances the other 'normal formed' birds. The coloring is darker than what is displayed above. I would prefer the greater contrast as shown, but either way it is lovely.
Cons
To the packers at FinnStyle: the outer shipping box was well packed and sealed to protect this bird and its unique box.
However, that box had obviously been opened and the bird taken out. It very poorly repackaged. The bill protection was
in place but only one sheet of tissue was loosely placed around the bird which was upside-down in the box. The other
birds I have ordered always arrive well wrapped in a heavy weight printed paper, obviously from the factory. This bird had
been removed and replaced in a careless manner. Fortunately, it arrived intact. An expensive mistake fortunately avoided.

It is a very dark brown that can appear black. This is a stock photo from Iittala - all of the Festive catchers are made individually by hand with a unique number written on the bottom along with Oiva Toika's signature. Each bird may slightly differ from the rest.
