More about iittala Graphics Shaped / Shifted MugA stripped down version of the Aika mug by Heikko Orvala serves as the canvas for the Graphics series. Graphics is a collection of visual expressions by four international designers, each with their own unique voice. The project aims to bring the most interesting art to the most simple moments, like sipping on morning coffee or afternoon tea. Each comes packaged in a beautiful box for gifting, storing, or re-using. This mug was designed by Boston-based Christopher DeLorenzo, whose philosophy is that everything can be a portal for something. His inspiration for the project was our ability to transform objects found in nature by the touch of our daily lives, bending them to create a new, harmonious world. The result is called "Shaped/Shifted," and like others in the collection, it has a psychedelic, funky feel to it.
