Each year glass artist Oiva Toikka amazes us with his creative vision. In 2007, the Toikka collection is led by the limited-edition Cloud Tern (Pilvitiira in Finnish). The Cloud Tern’s translucent body is adorned with a soothing mix of blues which brings this bird to life.

Oiva Toikka created his first annual bird for iittala in 1993 though the first Bird by Toikka, the Flycatcher, was born in 1972. The birds continue to be blown freehand--without the use of moulds--at iittala's glasswork in Nuutajärvi Finland.

Limited edition. Signed 'O Toikka Nuutajärvi 2007' on its base.

Measures: 5-1/4" H x 11" L (13.3 x 28 cm)
