Designed by Finnish artist Oiva Toikka, iittala's Summer Grouse is truly unique. A raised, dark-colored spiral that begins at the top of its head and ends at the base of its body creates a textured and ornamental plumage of orange, yellow, and grey. The bird is a tear-dropped shape, with a small head, delicate beak, and pointed tail. Similar to the limited-edition Sleeping Summer Grouse, but smaller, this lovely, hand-blown creation is truly stunning.

On the base of each individualized bird is acid-stamped the signature of the artist and of his studio in Nuutajärvi, Finland. |
