I used this fabric to cover over an old canvas painting I no longer appreciated. I just stapled the fabric over the stretcher strips (back side) and the fabric was thick enough so that the painting underneath did not show through. I have it on a "dark chocolate" brown painted wall and this fabric just pops. I go for a modern and neutral aesthetic and this wall decor/fabric is just the thing.
