What a beautiful mug! The colors on this mug are what attracted me to it. It's such a pretty , colorful pattern. The colors are very bright and vibrant. It's a slightly large mug, which I like. It feels very good in your hand. Even though it says that it is ceramic, it feels like porcelain to me. I love that it's made in Finland, too!

I debated with myself before ordering this, as (like most of us) I have enough mugs in my cupboard. But this one drew me, partly due to the very positive reviews, but also because it's larger than the ones I use every day. So this is the one I take out to the porch or swing, with enough of my afternoon coffee that I don't have to run inside for a refill, and the lovely design blending with the natural surroundings of my back yard.
I almost didn't order this Pentik Metsamarja mug because the specs show that it is made of ceramic, and I usually prefer porcelain or bone china for coffee/tea cups. But I was so captivated by the design that I took a chance. I was very pleasantly surprised that in real life, the cup seems much more like porcelain, and is not cheap and clunky like many ceramic cups. It is exactly the size I wanted for my morning pour-over coffee (8 oz/250 ml fits perfectly). The cup is even more beautiful than it looks in the photos, and it makes me happy every morning. The order shipped very quickly, and was packaged securely. This was my first order from FinnStyle, and I hope to come back for more in the future.
On a recent visit to relatives in Rovaniemi, Finland, I bought 4 of these Pentik mugs to bring home.
I loved them (wanted more) but 4 mugs were as many as I could safely pack in my carryon. So when I found them available in the USA at Finnstyle, I ordered 4 more. I love the Metsamarja botanical design of Finland's native berries and flowers. (I ate several of those berries while visiting Finland.)
The mug is a perfect size and has a comfortable handle; and even my husband is now reaching for this mug. However, the "deal sealer" was the fact that these ceramic dishes are actually MADE in Finland, rather than Thailand (which is, unfortunately, where several other Finnish ceramics are now made).
This Metsamarja mug has become a favorite morning mug, so I can have a bit of Finland with my morning (and afternoon) coffee.
The vibrant assorted berries design has been a cheerful spot for 2020.
The vibrant colors of the woodland berries, along with the subtle hues of leaves and blossoms, make this mug stunning! It brings back memories of my visit to northern Finland where I saw lingonberries growing in the woods and enjoyed eating fresh cloudberries. Pentik truly creates functional art ! Kiitos!!
I bought this mug as a gift for my mother in law who is from Finland. I have heard her speak many times about cloud berries (her favorite) and the blue berries and currents she picked and ate as a child and young adult. The design and colors in this mug are very pretty; I am sure she will love it!
