Hiirenvirna means Vicia cracca in Finnish, a type of plant referred to as Vetch. For what many consider to be a common weed, it is strikingly beautiful. Its tall stem climbs toward the light and is decorated with violet-colored petals. It grows all over the meadows of Finland, and is nicknamed "Mouse's pea" there because of its green, seed-bearing pods. Liina Harju captures their look beautifully on this spring-evoking pattern, alongside other colorful wildflowers. Here, it's printed on a beautiful and functional pot holder. A nifty pocket allows you to put your hand inside the padded, 100% cotton square for maximum dexterity and protection from heat, while a loop allows you to hang it on display when not in use.
Care: Machine washable. Follow instructions on tag.
