Finnish for “wild boar” this fabric was designed by new Marimekko designer Sawako Ura. Influenced by her idol, Marimekko designer Fujiwo Ishimoto, Ura’s prints are also partial to the natural elements and organic brushstrokes that Ishimoto’s prints favored. The Villisika print is no different. Made from 100% linen, this soft yellow and ochre fabric features soft brush strokes reminiscent of golden hay or waves of grain, and would be put to good use as curtains, summer dresses or whatever else you might come up with.
