Made from cotton terry, this hand towel features the Unikko pattern. The towel comes in an earthy dark sand coloring that will compliment any bathroom space. Marimekko's famous poppy pattern Unikko was born in 1964 in a time when the design house's collections featured mostly abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to create something interesting from this organic theme and designed an entire range of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower represents creativity.

Generally, I LOVE all things Marimekko, however I will admit I was a bit disappointed with these towels. The fabric is thinner and rough compared to other Marimekko towels I've purchased. The color is solid brown and reads a bit dull, even with the alternating loop / flat weave Unikko pattern. Unfortunately, all were returned.
