As classic as a cup of coffee, this Marimekko mug celebrates the 50 year anniversary of Annika Rimala’s Tasaraita (Even Stripe) design. The pattern was first featured on unisex shirts, and half a century later, still serves as a symbol of equality for the Finnish brand Marimekko. Like all Oiva dinnerware, the white stoneware is microwave, oven, freezer, and dishwasher safe. The base has a celebratory stamp reading "Pro equality since 1968. Marimekko Tasaraita "Even Stripe" 50 years."

We bought three of these mugs to go with one we already had. The size is just right. Not hug not so small you're disappointed. The finish is flawless. Overall the mug has a reasoned balance to it. Each mass working in harmony with the other. Plus they look great and make the perfect accent to plain white plates and bowls.
