Meaning spring in Italian, "Primavera" is a pattern painted by Maija Isola when she was living in Oran, Algeria. Because of this, it's thought it has a touch of homesickness in it. Perhaps Isola was yearning to be back in Finland where wildflowers like marigold bloom in the morning dew. Here, the flowers are stunning in shades of soft lilac and lush green on crisp white cotton. The accessory has an adjustable neck strap, lengthy waist ties, and a front pocket to carry devices, recipes, or cooking tools from one station to the next.

The colors and pattern on this apron make it a pleasure to wear. I’ve tried and worn other styles but this Marimekko style is the most comfortable for me. The snaps for adjusting the neck strap are key as one length does not work for all.

This is a beautiful apron. It is very sturdy and well made, but not super heavy. It's bright and fun and brings joy in the kitchen.
