Designer Maija Isola had a dream about running with wild horses in the forest, and was inspired to create this folkloric print. Fittingly named Musta Tamma (Black Mare), it depicts beautiful beige horses and peach apples on a black backdrop. Here, it's featured on a Marimekko Smart Sack made from 100% recycled polyester. Starting off as a lightweight and compact rectangle, it unzips into a generously sized backpack. This makes it easy to store it in your glove compartment, pocket, or purse until you need it, and will prevent bringing home a plethora of plastic bags.

I bought this bag to use for travel—nice to have a hands-free option for carrying “extra†small items like snacks, souvenirs, guide book, etc. Attractive and lightweight bag that, once unfolded, becomes a small backpack or carrying bag with a little zipped interior pocket. Whole bag can be folded into the little zipped pouch for easy transport. Strong rope straps and good quality zipper should make it last. *Strap length might be too short for tall person—fits me well at 5’ 4†in height.
