Marimekko Kuuskajaskari Linen Fabric

It stretched beautifully over a canvas and feels substantial. I love how it looks.

I am decorating a bedroom in an apartment we built over our garage. Since the apartment is on the 2nd floor and next to trees it feels a bit like being in a tree house, so I wanted to decorate keeping that feeling in mind.

When I saw this fabric I knew the top half would work in the limited wall space above our bed. I built a frame, painted it white, then we stapled the fabric to it (we had put a layer of white flannel behind the fabric otherwise it was too see through).

I am SUPER happy with how it turned out. (you can see my next step is to make a quilt out of another Marimekko fabric, but one step at a time ;)

I ordered a yard but expected it to be read horizontally as a kind of abstract landscape. I'm using it vertically as a kind of curtain on a
narrow window. Strange that as an artist I still was fooled by the way

this fabric is gorgeous. the hand, the colors, the design - which i see as wetland/grassland and storm. wonderful. i'm using it for window covering and tablecloth and apron.

This fabric is a work of art. The linen, while substantial, feels soft and elegant. The colors are deep and rich. After making a beautiful, long table cloth for my daughter-in-law, I bought a small piece for myself and framed it with the dark line horizontal. It makes a striking abstract landscape of grass and sand with the sea and sky beyond. It also would look great set vertically as in the illustration. It’s unusual and beautiful. I just love it.

It is a leap of faith to buy a fabric on line. I know that Marimekko always is an excellent product, and I was not disappointed. This is a beautiful high-quality fabric that will work perfectly for the draperies at a French doorway. The colors were richer than in the picture, and turned out to be exactly what I wanted.

Looking for fabric to make panels for French doors, I was taken by the very positive reviews.
I was not disappointed. The quality of the colors, particularly the inky sky blues is phenomenal.
I intend to use the blues for the doors…and will find another purpose for the wheaty grass side.

Love the design. Fabric is thin and I am not sure it will work well as a window covering in my very sunny kitchen. I may make it a wall hanging because it is beautiful.

I ordered 3 yards to make a large wall hanging behind my Danish dining room table plus several sofa pillows. I love the pattern! The colors aren't as bright as seen on my screen, but those always vary some. However, I was surprised how thin the fabric is, you can see through it. I've used Marimekko fabric on stretcher bars in the distant past that was more substantial. I will have to back it with canvas. Still, it's going to be beautiful!

I love Marimekko weather collection. This fabric is beautiful - either as table cloth or wall hanging. Am wondering if the "blue sky" version is still available...? I haven't seen it around.

I turned it sideways for a dreamy landscape view and will hang it as a flat curtain in front of a closet without a door. It's like having a painting at eye level! Colors are wonderful - I love this pattern!
