Q & A
Stripes and spots come together at last in the beautiful blue hues of the Marimekko Jurmo Blue/White Fabric. A bold print, Jurmo's expansive pattern is perfect for tablecloths and large wall hangings, or a group of pillow shams. Made of 100% cotton, this machine washable Aino-Maija Metsola design is sure to turn heads.
Secondary image shows approximately two yards. This fabric is cut from the bolt, and selection will vary from that pictured. Each 2 yard piece will contain a full repeat of the pattern.

One of my favorite fabrics. Love the blues and the sense of a rocky waters edge. Using art canvas stretchers, I made one large horizontal hanging to go over a gray couch in a large kitchen. And had enough left over to do a smaller vertical hanging for a smaller room.
Pros
Great color, substantial fabric.

background blue is darker than expected.

I was expecting a lighter blue in the background. Not navy on navy. It does not seem to be my computer screen. Since navy fabric is pictured as navy.

Pillow fabric

I purchased Jurmo Blue to cover large pillow inserts. (2o" by 20"). At first I was a bit concerned about the large repeat but the pillows are beautiful. Great service from Finnstyle. I am glad I discovered them because I am a very big Marimekko fan.

I have had my eye on this fabric for quite some time. It did not disappoint. The design is amazing--brings a smile to my face just to look at it- and the quality is just what one would expect from Marimekko.

If I need a tablecloth that is 60" wide, do you have any suggestions on how to make it wider?
1 Answer
Since it is a repeat pattern you may not be able to line up the pattern perfectly if you were to sew two strips together. Sometimes people will add solid color strips on either side of the fabric and leave the pattern for the center of the table as well.
