Inspired by the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea, renowned Finnish designer Maija Isola created the Joonas print while watching the sun reflect off its sparkling waters. The abstract, freehand lines make a large statement with fluid movement. Printed in Finland with dyes leftover from Marimekko's own printing production, this cotton fabric also is made from 25% recycled cotton. Because of this, the color may vary, making each a unique piece of textile art. It is still conveniently machine washable to suit a variety of home projects.
