The idea for the Apilainen (Small Clover) pattern came to designer Lotta Maija while at her summer cottage. An easterly wind brought big waves to shore, causing the yard's flowery grass to sway back and forth in a memorable way. It's been printed in Helsinki on this cotton panama basket which is machine washable. The small storage basket isn't limited to just bread, however. It can hold washcloths, small toys, yarn, and more.
