This poncho has a patterned weave and is a fairly light weight. I am a little over 5'10" tall and it looks like I'm well-covered when I wear this thing - just covers my whole torso in the shortest part (I'm long-waisted) and the longer parts on the sides go to my knees when worn with fringe in front. Plenty of material, here! Fringe side to middle of slit is about 30" and each side of the slit (non-fringe) is about 25". Worth the money.

It is not - the secondary picture has the woman wearing another shirt underneath. The best picture is the first secondary picture with the sun behind the poncho to get an idea of the weave.
