Inspiration for the iittala Nappula Brass Tall Candle Holder came to designer Matti Klenell at the Nuutarjärvi glass museum, where he was drawn to the distinctive design of an interestingly shaped chair. Moved by the unique piece of furniture, Klenell set out to create memorable pieces of his own. Demanding attention, this is the tallest of the two candle holders in the Nappula collection. The sturdy brass has an attractive shiny finish, and a felt bottom rest further stabilizes the piece. Fire is an element that has long brought us comfort, warmth and ambiance, and the iittala Nappula Brass Tall Candle Holder makes it that much more beautiful.
Holds most standard candles with a 3/4" diameter base.

How are these candle holders finished? Is there a lacquer coating? My concern is that the coating may peel off eventually. How does one care for these pieces? thanks

These do not have a lacquer finish. You can use brass polish to care for the holders.
