Q & A
Designed by Kaj Franck in 1958, the Kartio collection is internationally appreciate for its simplicity, durability, and functionality. Real beauty, Frank maintained, could only be found in the practicality of use. The clear color allows you to see the contents of the pitcher, whether it be water, milk, or even wine. Franck's multi-functional designs are mostly derived from three simple forms: circle, square, and rectangle. Here, the former can be seen in this special edition version of the classic Kartio pitcher. The carafe's simple yet thoughtful shape feels great in hand and makes it easy to pour, while also allowing for a larger volume of liquid.
