Timo Sarpaneva originally designed Festivo as a wine glass for himself, with the goal of fitting an entire bottle into a single glass. The bowl and base were blown separately, and upon seeing the stems sitting on their own in the factory one day, Sarpaneva was inspired to turn them into candle holders. The now iconic design has the look and feel of icy crystal, paying ode to Nordic winter beauty. This iittala Festivo Candle Holder has three defining rings, standing at 6" (150 mm) tall. A stainless steel insert is included, allowing it to hold one taper candle.
Use only taper candles with a maximum height of 12" (30.5 cm)
Care: Hand wash only

The candle holders are beautiful, goes without saying. They now come with a metal insert to hold regular candles, but if you take it off you can use the cute round candles made for this line of candle holders. One thing you have to see is that top is round but the rings aren't round, they are kind of oval with slightly pointed ends (hard to describe). This means that when you line them up, they aren't necessarily symmetrical which I think makes them that much more charming.
