A restaurant called the Savoy was one of Alvar and Aino Aalto's many commissions over the years. In 1936, they were asked to design the interior of the Helsinki restaurant. Crafted from a single piece of brass, this pendant light was custom-designed for the dining area. Now available to the public, the Savoy version of the Golden Bell has a polished, uncoated brass exterior, which will develop a patina over time. The interior is brushed, raw brass, which results in a warm glow.
