Esteri Tomula, a prolific and established pattern designer at Arabia, had a signature style of detailed abundance, which is epitomized by the Pastoraali series from the late 1960s. The new silk printing technique enabled bright colors to be used, and rich blue was selected for the Pastoraali pattern.
