I have loved and used Arabia Arctica for 30 years now and was pleased to find them for sale in the US so that I could replace some of mine that had begun to be too dishwaher-etched. Although listed on their site, their inventory of this item was only TWO. WIth a 2-month wait for the remainder.

I needed a new set of every day plates and chose these for their color and the fact that they are made in Finland.
Pros
The creamy white will go with all my other dinner plates if I need to add more for company. My other plates are blue and white (Royal Doulton "Sherbooke" and Arabia "Valencia"). However, I am planning to use these plates every day. They are heavy, and can be washed in the dishwasher, oven and microwave safe. I am very pleased with my choice.

Had since 1982 and still in style. Universal. Clean easily and do not mark up. Go with anything and look great on a white tablecloth with crystal, or in less formal settings.

The iitala Arabia Arctica dishes are so beautifully designed and look wonderful with any table decor. I bought eight of everthing in 1982....and now....in 2013, I added enough for a service for twelve. And guess what? They match PERFECTLY!! I couldn't believe it. They wear like iron but look so elegant......
