iittala's Annual Egg for 2006 is the Steller's Eider Egg, of which only 750 have been made. This limited-edition egg reveals the unique craftsmanship of the glass-blown process, with subtle changes in hue and inevitable variations in design. The egg is smooth-textured, the top half white and the bottom half light-yellow. On either side of the egg is a loosely-tied, festive ribbon that adds dimension and wonder. As you hold this hefty glass piece in your hand you will find yourself captivated by the depth and mystery of the life inside.
Measures: 3-1/2" W x 5" H (9 x 12.5 cm)
Each egg is numbered (xxx/750) and has the signature of the artist and of his studio in Nuutajärvi, Finland.
