it is the perfect purse umbrella. sturdy and well-made, large enough to keep you covered during a storm, but not so large as to be burdensome. the material is great and water-resistant, so it dries really quickly. i had the red dot umbrella originally and wanted another exactly the same, but had to get a new pattern instead. but i am very happy with it! it is important to have a colorful + fun umbrella during a gloomy rainy day. marimekko almost makes you glad to be stuck out in a storm just for the excuse of using your umbrella!

you can't retract the umbrella by hand, you have to push the button again and then push it against something to retract the rod. once you get the movement down, it isn't so bad, but inconvinient anyway.I would recommend this item to a friend.
