The “Roadie” collection of Marimekko bags has a devout following for its emphasis on practicality and durability, and the Marimekko Pal Shoulder Bag is no exception. The sturdy polyamide material will hold up to years of use, and is equally suited to travel on vacations as it is everyday adventures. It has front and back leather-zippered pockets as well as a side sleeve for easy access to the things you just most often, while an adjustable shoulder strap that allows it to be carried comfortably a number of ways. Inside, reinforced seams and a zip pocket provide additional support and storage. Ristomatti Ratia is behind this timeless design, which promises “A perfect balance of function and style since 1966” as depicted on the authenticating sewn label.

I bought my first Marimekko Pal bag in dark blue theee years ago at a Marimekko store in Helsinki . It’s my everyday bag. Light , big enough for all I need especially when traveling.
My only complaint, the bag is not waterproof. Still that doesn’t stop me from using it rain or shine . I either keep the bag inside my raincoat when it’s raining .
I highly recommend this lovely bag !
Also better price here than in Finland .

  • Big enough to fit my iPad when I am traveling and my toiletries bag plus my sun glasses and reading glasses .
  • I love all the different compartments in the bag . Two big outside pockets and a small on inside and the big main zipper . Very light bag the straps are very strops and adjustable.
Cons
  • From my first Pal bag, I noticed when it rains hard the bag gets damp . Mostly the outside pockets .

My niece had this bag in Finland, and I decided to get it as well. I have owned many Marimekko bags and always loved them. They are well made and last a long time. I travel a lot, so this will be my travel companion. It is roomy enough for by iPad. It ous light and so does not as much weight.

I love this PAL bag! I always wear my purses cross body and this one is great. There is lots of room, great easy open outside pockets. The side pocket I don’t use as it is kind of tight, could hold a pen. Nice to have the carabiner for keys too.

I have recently purchased this bag and been using it every day for two weeks. It is made with durable materials, made well, works well. It feels like it is going to last for a long time. I love roomy pockets on each side, a small long pocket on the outside for pens, and a small pocket inside. It is the perfect size for carrying wallet, cell phone, recyclable shopping bags, keys, business cards, pens, sanitizer, a small first aid kit. I like carrying the minimal things for daily basis, but it is nice to have a little more room for traveling or shopping. When I travel to a different city I can even put SLR camera and a small guide book. I am excited having this bag!

This bag has all the features I want in a travel bag. The fabric is sturdy but not heavy. The strap is strong and the pockets well placed, inside and out.

I've loved Marimekko for years, and was thrilled to find such a great selection of bags on FinnStyle. This bag is everything I hoped it would be—good-looking, sturdy, stylish, versatile, and capacious without being bulky or staid-looking. It's become my daily go-to bag for work and play!

Can you use this bag as a crossbody? Would the straps be long enough?

Hello, Yes, the Pal Bag can absolutely be used as a cross body bag! The straps adjust to become longer or shorter depending on your preference.
