I was not sure if it was too small for me but it’s actually perfect. Not too big and not too small. I love the leather accent it’s different from other marimekko bags.

Perfect Backpack for Fans of Design in General...Scandinavian Design in Particular

This bag actually turned out to be even better than expected. The quality of the materials is excellent. The quality of the craftsmanship is excellent. When wearing the backpack the zippered main compartment cannot be accessed due to the straps crossing over the top of the zipper. If you ride trains and buses in the city and worry about people reaching into your back this backpack is the answer. There is an external pocket with a small snap closure which is perfect for a book or in my case a book and a small umbrella. The interior has a small pouch in the middle for carrying your smaller items, i.e. wallet & phone. On either side of the pouch are two large compartments capable of carrying a 15" macbook pro laptop and a few groceries if you happen to be shopping on your way home from work/school.
It is an expensive backpack, but not as expensive as some of the backpacks I was looking at and the quality of the materials, design and craftsmanship was superior the less expensive backpacks I considered.
