The Western March is a remarkable example of iittala's glass-blowing craftsmanship. It has an pink and peach-colored hue with a darker area on its back that shows off its occasional, spotted-white patterning on gold. Its coloring tapers off toward the front of its body, revealing a translucent head and ending with a curved, shiny blue beak.
Measures: 11" L x 6-1/2" H (28 x 16.5 cm)
On the base of each individualized bird is acid-stamped the signature of the artist and of his studio in Nuutajärvi, Finland.
