Q & A
Prepare, serve, store and re-serve with the iittala Teema Tiimi Lidded Soup Bowl; like the original Teema line, each Tiimi piece is microwave, oven, freezer and dishwasher safe. Kaj Franck's 1952 Teema gets revamped but remains true to its timeless philosophy of simplicity and functionality. Fitted to the needs of Asian cuisine, Teema Tiimi's talented team included four Asian designers as well as masters of Finnish design. This merging of cultures creates a collection that is multi-functional, versatile and combinable as all iittala dinnerware is.

Soups and stews and baked goods - these lovely bowls can handle it all. I love the feeling in my hands while having soup on a cold day.

Great noodle soup bowl
September 26, 2018
It is hard to find a noodle soup bowl come with a lid to keep the soup warm before you serve it, this fits the bill. So glad the manufacturer finally thought about it.
Pros
Good quality and nice color.
Cons
Wish it a little bit big.

A perfect vessel for steaming bowls of soup. Large enough to prevent sloshing. And the lid contains the contents and the heat.

I love the soup bowls!

These bowls have become a household favorite. The shape is attractive. The bowl feels good in the hands, and it seems to keep the food warm for longer even without the lids. The color is perfect and blends well with my dark blue dishes. I've used them to heat soup in the microwave (handy to have the lids) and to serve food at the table. Instead of soup, I've also used them for pasta, for salad, and for combination breakfasts of avocados, eggs, and kimchi.

Not quite perfect.

I have about 3 different dinnerware sets by Iittala with very little complaints. But this particular series left me disappointed. Bowls are good but the lids don't quite sit on them right. For the lid to sit evenly on the bowl you have to carefully line it up. Even a slight movement to the bowl sends the lid to slip and tilt creating an air gap for steam to escape from bowls. My purpose for these were to keep soups from getting cold fast but with that kind of gap it won't do the job properly.
