I purchased a few of these dessert sized bowls to fill out my set of dishes. After many years of sadness about the poor quality of my Crate and Barrel plates, which disintegrated crack by crack and chip by chip, I am thrilled with my iittala bowls and dishes. They are of the highest quality, wonderfully servicable, stylish and let you assemble a set without being too matchy. I love them and look forward to using them every day. We have had them for a year and there are no cracks, no chips. They look just like the day we bought them. The only problem was when my husband dropped a dish on our ceramic counter---it broke but I dont blame the dish for that!

One bowl was a little rough and dirty on the bottom. I have ordered Iittala in the past and the quality has always been 100% until now. I cleaned it up and it is not worth the trouble to return it. However, I am a little disappointed since this is a gift.

This bowl is fairly small. Maybe 2 scoops of ice cream would fit. I love the color combination and it makes a very cheerful table setting.
