A beautiful glass creation dedicated to the West Coast, iittala’s 2011 FinnFest California Quail will impress you with unique design and spectacular color. Taking cues from the bird’s natural appearance, the glass quail features a large plume which stands tall amidst its shiny black head. Rushing the eye like an ocean wave, the quail’s spotted chest shimmers in iridescent blue and silver which gently changes color and flows into a cerulean-hued back and tail. Expertly crafted from head to tail feather, master glassblower Oiva Toikka cleverly showcases the beauty of California’s state bird.
A limited edition, only 245 of iittala’s 2011 Finn Fest California Quail were produced. Made from mouth-blown glass and etched by hand with, "O. Toikka Nuutajärvi Finn Fest 2011 San Diego CA", this Toikka bird is truly unique.
