For a pricy jar I was surprised to find that the lids are plastic and not made out of glass like the rest of the jar. Not suitable for attractiveness or appeal comparison, but common white glass jars that can be found for a fraction of the cost at discount stores come with a rubber or plastic seal around the glass lid so I don't buy the argument that the lids are plastic to ensure proper air-tightness. Besides most people use these eye-catching jars for display and not its intended purpose. Aside from the plastic lid disappointment it is an attractive accent item worthy of keeping it out as a kitchen display item.Pros:
