Iittala Mini Narrow Grey Glass Jar

Although now all discontinued, the line of iittala jars are great looking and functional for your kitchen storage needs. The jars themselves in their various sizes(11.5", 8", 4.25", 3.2", & 2.6" tall) and colors were great for storing food while adding some color to your kitchen. The glass jars themselves were well made, albeit somewhat fragile(they're glass, what do you expect?), with acrylic lids that had nice firm rubber seals that helps preserve food. Granted, these jars were pricey, even when on sale, but still really worth the price based upon their quality.

Gave this as a gift - was a bit surprised to realize how the acrylic lid feels as opposed to the glass jar. But the look is still there at a distance.

I was able to transform a jumble of herb and spice jars into a beautiful arrangement inside a drawer in a way that was much more efficient than it was before. The transparent lids allow you to see what is in each one easily and the colorful arrangement makes it more appealing to use the flavorful contents. Also - you don't forget what spices you have and buy new ones needlessly! They are also very easy to clean and maintain.

Perfect closure, outstanding product. Lots of uses.

For a pricy jar I was surprised to find that the lids are plastic and not made out of glass like the rest of the jar. Not suitable for attractiveness or appeal comparison, but common white glass jars that can be found for a fraction of the cost at discount stores come with a rubber or plastic seal around the glass lid so I don't buy the argument that the lids are plastic to ensure proper air-tightness. Besides most people use these eye-catching jars for display and not its intended purpose. Aside from the plastic lid disappointment it is an attractive accent item worthy of keeping it out as a kitchen display item.

These guys are infinitely useful.

I love these jars. They are so useful for a variety of items. And they look great too, what could be better?
