iittala Gaissa
iittala Gaissa was designed by Finland’s Tapio Wirkkala in 1973. This beautiful and classic collection of cocktail glasses has rocky bottoms and thin walls that reflect the lucid qualities of ice.
Wirkkala's themes are derived from observations of nature, like ice formations and movements of water. Named after a fell covered perpetually by snow, Wirkkala’s Gaissa glasses powerfully illustrate the artist’s master and command of his craft and the powerful force the arctic climate serves as his inspiration.
*Please note: iittala will stop offering Gaissa Glassware in the U.S. in 2012. We encourage you to complete your set now as stock is limited.
