I first bought Beatrice Ojakangas cookbook in Finlad in the 70's - it was designed for US audience but I could still work around it. Now it is all spotty and stained but I just woudn't get rid of this book for anything. If you are wanting to explore Finnish cooking this book is certainly the best I have found. Also Sue Lawrence from Scotland has a brilliant fishpie recipe modified from Finnish recipe.
Pros:
great book, well worth it.
Cons:
the old copy we have is really designed for US audience so there are some measurements unclear for Australians
I would recommend this item to a friend.

It is a wedding present for my sister and brother-in-law. I was excited to get her a Finnish cookbook since we are half Finnish and it was also on her shower/wedding registry.
Pros:
Not sure since it is a gift for my sister. I haven't looked at it yet.
I feel good about buying it though because my mom said that it is a good cookbook since she has two of them for some reason. I guess that I'll get the other one someday from mom.
