The Summer Stint is an ultramarine, hand blown bird that features a soft sky blue body and stem with a clear beak and translucent dark blue tail. The solid blue bird was designed by Oiva Toikka to celebrate Finland’s 90th year of independence and FinnFest 2007. This tiny but powerful bird is also meant to be representative of the small and lively nation of Finland.
Each Summer Stint is hand engraved on the bottom with “O. Toikka Nuutajärvi FinnFest 2007-Finland 90 years.” Be sure you get yours before this limited edition bird is no longer available.
Oiva Toikka’s imagination and iittala’s skilled Finnish glassblowers have created magical glass birds for over 30 years. Oiva is inspired by birds found all over the globe, but he makes each creation his own.
