This magnificent mouth-blown bird measures in at nearly 15 x 10 inches, one of the largest birds ever produced by iittala. One can appreciate the level of difficulty required to blow a piece of this size. And, like all Toikka birds, the Festive Pheasant is a unique work of art, hand formed by a team of glassblowers without the use of moulds.
The coloring of Festive Pheasant is as special as its size. Very deep colors and a unique pattern are captivating. The regal neck and head glorify the overall appearance. Oiva Toikka set out to create something awe-inspiring with this bird---and he succeeded.
