iittala Essence was designed by Argentinean designer Alfredo Häberli in 2001. Häberli believed that simple forms enhance the enjoyment of fine wine. He designed each bowl for optimal appreciation while sharing the same stem height and base size for each glass. Together the Essence glasses and carafe create a wonderful sense of balance for both casual and formal dining.
Winner of the iF (International Forum Design) award as well as the Les Découvertes award.
