In production since 1996, the Dotterel (or Plover) is a unique mouth-blown glass bird created by Oiva Toikka. The photo illustrates the color variations seen in this Toikka bird. The body color of Dotterels currently being produced is primarily light brown to olive green, similar to the photo. The head remains blue and the beak translucent yellow.

Measures: 5" H x 9-1/2" L (13 x 24 cm)

On the base of each individualized bird is acid-stamped the signature of the artist and of his studio in Nuutajärvi, Finland.
